Question 1. Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address

Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address

Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address gave Lincoln’s practical and idealistic views regarding ending the Civil War. The Emancipation Proclamation brought forth a permanent way to abolish slavery in the United States. Lincoln viewed that if slavery ended then the confederate army would lack the free labor they get from slaves and hence deprive the southern of food and economic support, which would make them weak and their defeat would end the civil war. To support his ideology he delivered the Gettysburg address, which is one of the most famous speeches to ever been issued. Both the Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address brought a sense of security and hope to the people of the union.

Analysis

In his address, Lincoln emphasizes what the nation stands for and also shows the greatness of the United States. In the first line of his speech, Lincoln explains how the forefathers created a new country founded on liberty and the dedication to the assertion that “all men are created equal”.  At the point of Lincoln’s delivery of this speech, many citizens wanted the nation to go back to the principles that were the foundation of the country. With Lincoln’s infamous quoting of the Declaration of Independence, he was promised to ensure the principle of equality, upon which the country was founded on remain. In line 9, which is the last line, Lincoln tries to make another point about the end of the civil war by ascertaining that all those that are dead their death is not in vain as their death have shall liberate the nation and bring freedom to the enslaved people as well as maintain the principle of government by the people for the people. Lincoln promises the union that the death of soldiers on the battlefield will not be in vain and sends a beacon of hope to American citizens asserting that the United States is still a country for the people and that will remain.

Similarly, the Emancipation Proclamation promised to commit to abolishing slavery and Lincoln promised that the Civil War forever change the United States. The Proclamation changed the war focus from fighting to unionize to fighting to end slavery as a way to cripple the Confederacy army who were using slaves in the war efforts. In line 5 of the Emancipation Proclamation, Lincoln declared the end of slavery using the power invested in him as the president and instructed the Executive arm of government, which included the military and the naval authorities to recognize and maintain the freedom of the freed slaves. Therefore, the Proclamation served as a firm demonstration of the executive war powers of the president.  However, Lincoln and his allies in Congress knew that emancipation had no constitutional basis after the end of the war and therefore, they began to work on enacting a Constitutional amendment that would abolish slavery. The 13th Amendment was passed by both houses of Congress in January 1865 and its ratification that December. Therefore, Emancipation Proclamation paved the way for the complete abolishment of slavery in America.

Importantly, in line 7 of the Emancipation Proclamation, Lincoln permitted African Americans to serve in the Union Army, which allowed them to fight for their freedom. By the time the war ended, more than 200,000 black Americans had served in the Union army and navy as part of the United States Colored Troops (USCT).

Conclusion

In conclusion, in the Gettysburg Address, Lincoln conveyed a message of security, hope, and determination by speaking about the foundation of the nation and its importance in ending the Civil war. In the Emancipation Proclamation Lincoln declared the abolishment of slavery as a means to end the civil war.

Question 2. Section 1 of the Sherman Act

Date:

Section 1 of the Sherman Act

From the case, Marucci had the right to file a lawsuit against NFHS and NCAA. The standard provided by NCAA and NFHS was not in good faith since they violated the Sherman Act. Section one of the act indicates that a contract that restraint commerce is illegal. Section one prohibits agreement that causes bid-rigging, price-fixing, and refusal to deal, among others. The parties agreeing or affected by the agreement may be customers, competitors, or both. The standards set by the NCAA and NFHS affected both the competitors and the customers. Muracci reported decreased sales of four products. The composite bats represented wood bats, making it hard for the Muracci to sell all the eleven products as they were decertified for use in collegiate and high school games (Ward 16). The change made by NCAA and NFHS violated section one of the Sherman Act.

The standards provided by NFHS and NCAA restrained the trade of game products centrally to the Sherman Act. The court uses two approaches of section one to pass out judgment. First, the approach includes bid-rigging and price-fixing activities. Secondly, the approach considers the reason why an individual or organization took certain actions. In this case, it is clear that NFHS and NCAA action had a negative economic effect on Muracci since four of the products were not selling. In consideration of the first approach of section one, the standards put across by NCAA and NFHS indirectly favored some producers in the market (McNeese 39). Muracci had enough evidence to prove that NFHS and NCAA standards violated the Sherman Act.

INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE TOPIC:
Module 1 – Case General Education and Learning Styles Assignment Overview Dazed and Confused: General Education vs. Career Specialization Melanie was really looking forward to college because she thought she would have the freedom to select the courses she wanted and the opportunity to get into the major of her choice (computer science). However, she is shocked and disappointed with her first-term schedule of classes because it consists mostly of required general education courses that seem totally unrelated to her major. She is also frustrated because some of these courses are about subjects she already took in high school (English, history, and biology). She’s beginning to think she would be better off quitting college and going to a technical school for a year or two so she can get right into computer science and immediately begin acquiring the skills she will need to work in the computer industry. Case Assignment Reflection Questions If Melanie decides to get a technical certificate and not pursue a college degree, how do you see it affecting her future: in the short run, and in the long run? Do you see any way Melanie might strike a balance between pursuing her career interest and obtaining her college degree so that she could work toward achieving both goals at the same time? Can you relate to Melanie’s story in any way, or do you know anyone else who is having a similar experience? Assignment Expectations After reading Chapter 1 in Thriving at Trident University, answer the reflection questions from Dazed and Confused. Download and complete Dazed and Confused. Each answer should include TWO paragraphs (4 or 5 sentences per paragraph); to earn full credit, provide examples to support your opinion. Utilize information from the chapter as well to support your opinion. Review the grading rubric before submitting the assignment to ensure that you have met all requirements. Question 5. Quantum computer construction and its cyber security threats to the United States

Research Proposal Instructions

Prompt: In 2,000-2,500 words, create a research proposal for your research topic that includes an abstract, introduction, literature review, methodology, rationale, conclusion, and references (the last of which do not count towards the word count) in that order.

Requirements:
1. You may use the first person, but not the second person. Only use the first person when absolutely necessary to talk about the fact that you are proposing research. Some sections like the literature review should not have any at all, but you will likely need it in the methodology.
2. Your grammar, spelling, and punctuation should be flawless. Visit the Liberty University writing centers if you want extra help: https://www.liberty.edu/academics/casas/academicsuccess/index.cfm?PID=38382
3. You must use APA formatting.
4. When proposing that you will be doing an action if your proposal is accepted (like in your methodology), speak in the future tense.
5. Use Level 1 APA headings to differentiate between main sections where appropriate.
6. Your abstract should be a general, 150-250 word summary of what sections and topics are contained in your research proposal; avoid arguing or going into detail there.
7. Remember to look over the comments your instructor has made on your other related assignments and be sure to update sections of your research proposal for this assignment. Learn from past mistakes and successes.

Additional Suggestions:
1. Keep your audience in mind throughout. While your professor will grade your essay, remember that your audience will likely be someone who can grant money to support your research. Assume that person, committee, or organization is somewhat interested in your research topic. How can you show them that your plan to study it is a good one that deserves financial support? It will be easier to convince them if you can show you’ve done your research, your reasons for studying this topic line up with theirs, and your plan to study it will be effective.
2. Remember that the introduction of your literature review is not the same as the introduction overall—the overall introduction usually focuses on the topic and segues into introducing the research hypothesis or question, which is typically the last sentence of the introduction.
3. In your conclusion, summarize your main ideas and emphasize the importance and future helpfulness of what you are doing.
4. Once you have put together all the pieces, read through your proposal several times to make sure that tone, ideas, and arguments stay consistent throughout. You’ve sorted out the puzzle pieces, but you need to make sure they all fit

Question 6. Risk Assessment Project

The most significant written assignment in this course is the Risk Assessment Project. There are 2 deliverables with this assignment: Risk Assessment Proposal; and Risk Assessment Project. The first thing you need to do is pick a business or public organization that you want to focus on and the key to remember is that the risk assessment will focus on information systems. So, you want to pick an organization that handles sensitive and confidential data. Some good examples are healthcare or financial organizations and online eCommerce businesses. I have had students in the past pick organizations like NBA teams that make the assignment very difficult to write.
The assessment should follow a strong framework, like the one presented and explained in our OER NIST SP800-30r1. While you do not need to know the specific information systems architecture (hardware, software, communications) at the organization, you do need to be able to discuss what sensitive data they capture, store, manipulate, and transfer.
I have created and attached a template for the final Risk Assessment Project to assist with the process. We will continue to focus on this assignment, and feel free to ask any questions you may have using the Questions for the Instructor Discussion or via email.
The objective of this project is to develop a Risk Assessment Report for a company, government agency, or other organization. The analysis will be conducted using only publicly available information (that is, information obtainable on the Internet (using a browser), company reports, news reports, journal articles, etc.). The risk analysis should consider legitimate, known threats that pertain to the subject organization. Based on the information gathered, presumed vulnerabilities of the company or organization’s computing and networking infrastructure will be identified. Then, based on the identified threats and vulnerabilities you will describe the risk profile for the subject organization and suggest recommendations to mitigate the risks. The students will demonstrate in the Research Paper project their ability to communicate clearly and acquire, applicant,t and integration of knowledge skills. We will have rubrics to evaluate risk analysis subject matter competency and communications and knowledge competencies.
You will submit a brief proposal (page and half long, double-spaced) in session 4. The proposal should include a description of the organization you are proposing to analyze, scope (e.g., entire organization, key business area, major system, etc.) for the risk assessment, research methods to be used and a preliminary list of research information sources and references. Your instructor will provide feedback on the suitability of the proposed subject organization and the scope, as well as the suitability of the proposed research methods and information sources.
The final output is a paper 12 pages (double-spaced) long, exclusive of cover, title page, table of contents, endnotes, and bibliography. The paper must use APA formatting and reference citations (i.e. Stone, 2019, para. 4) with the exception that tables and figures can be inserted at the appropriate location rather than added at the end. This report is due during the 11th week of the course.
Hopefully, by now, you have identified the organization and business sector you will be focusing your Risk Assessment Project on. As you are working through your risk assessment, it is very important to understand that this assignment is focused on Cyber Risk Analysis, not business processes. Risk analysis can be viewed through either the IT/Cyber lens or the business lens. The difference is that the business focus is the bottom line of operations, in other words how will risk affect profit?
The Cyber Risk Analysis is focused on how will risk affect our information assurance? So, as you use the NIST documentation to format your Risk Assessment, be sure to focus on IT resources, and address the questions of how can the organization be hacked? and what is the potential cost of not fixing vulnerabilities? Both questions are focused on the vulnerabilities and threats to information systems you identify. In other words, the report should not focus on other business processes, like finance, accounting, manufacturing, sales, etc.
Your steps should be to identify a specific organization (e.g., Mayo Clinic), identify the sector (e.g., healthcare), use the information from the NIST guidelines to identify information systems (much of this is assumed to be a guess), and justify the risk assessment based on known breaches of other organizations in this sector (e.g., Medical Records Service Pays $100,000 to Settle HIPAA Breach).
**** The final output is a paper 12 pages (double-spaced) long, exclusive of cover, title page, table of contents, endnotes, and bibliography.

Question 10. Discussion post of American history

Prompt: This week’s reading demonstrates how slavery became a race-based system. This certainly provides us an example of the importance of laws and customs working together to create social norms and definitions since these laws worked to define Africans and African Americans as inferior. What do you think of all of all this? Use the documents to explain your thoughts. In addition to today’s laws and customs, what else is used to create today’s social norms and definitions (besides laws)? Reflect on these questions in a couple of paragraphs.

Question 15. American history discussion

Prompt: This week’s reading focused on the life of Puritans in colonial America. Some critics have, over the years, argued that you can still see elements of Puritan life, thoughts, and ideas in America today. American society has often been described as one that clings to its puritanical roots. You see this in various descriptions of current issues and events. For instance, here is a 2017 article recently describing the Baseball Hall of Fame as puritanical, another article from 2012 argues that Puritan ideals and morality are still very much with us today, and another article from 2016 argues that today’s prison system has Puritanical goals. Whether we agree with all of these connections or not is up for debate, but what is interesting is seeing these continued connections to Puritans and Puritan ideas. You can read these articles if you wish, but are not required to in order to answer the following questions for this assignment: First, using this week’s primary sources, what did you think of Puritan life? Which elements of Puritan society is America clinging to today (think big-picture ideas and themes as obviously there are no actual witch trials today)? What is puritanical about American society today? Use the assigned documents from this week to reflect on these questions in a couple of paragraphs.

question18. American history Reflection

Click on the following link and look at Macklemore’s lyrics to his song “Can’t Hold Us.” (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. Even though his song is not about the Revolutionary War, some of the lyrics in this song (though not all of them) reflect ideas and issues people grappled with at this time. The music video (found in week 4) for this song also reflects and touches upon ideas found in the documents. Consult the following documents assigned this week: Thomas Paine; Samuel Seabury; John Wesley; Letter from a Farmer; Samuel Adams Pick three of the documents listed above. What would each of these individuals say about Macklemore’s song lyrics and music video? Who would agree with some of the lyrics (and which lyrics are you talking about)? Who would disagree with some of the lyrics? Why? Use their words to answer these questions. Note: This is all about interpretation. In order to understand connections between this song and the documents, you need to fully understand the meaning of the documents and the song. Don’t look for individual words or statements; rather, you should look for parallels, overlap, and/or opposition. Think big picture! I realize this is a different reflection. Just go with it and see what you come up with. Get creative and make some interesting connections. Looking forward to reading your ideas.

question 20. Actual Thoughts of the African Warrior

I’m going to put the instructions my Professor gave me. I’ve had a horrible cold and I think I’m dying but its ok. Please have the book or find it somewhere so you can quote things from it! Book: Nzinga, African Warrior Queen This book is a work of historical fiction, meaning that most of the main characters really lived, and most of the events detailed really took place. And like most secondary sources on history, the author interprets this history, or makes an argument about it. After completing the book, read the “Author’s Notes” (beginning p. 289). In your analysis, do not summarize the book, except where necessary to explain your points (I have read the book). Instead, explain the author’s interpretation or argument. Why does the author think the events of the book unfolded as they did? Why does the author think this history matters? [These are the “Why?” and “So what?” questions central to historical thinking.] How convincing do you find his argument, and why? Are there things the author might have done to make the argument stronger? From the section of “Author’s Notes,” what do we know about the author? Why did he write this book? What difficulties did he face in writing it, and how well did he address those challenges? Finally, as a work of historical fiction, the author needs to inform, argue AND keep the reader interested. How well or poorly does the author balance these things? If there are things that might have been done better, explain your thinking. Please note here I am not asking whether you “liked” or “ did not like” the book. I also do not ask about “themes,” “symbolism” or other things that would be relevant in an English assignment.

Question 22. The Age of Augustus: History as an Art and a Science

What was it like to live in the city of Rome in the Age of Augustus (27 BCE – 14 CE)? While a number of Roman historians tell us the political history of the period, examining the age of Augustus through objects that the Romans themselves encountered at the time, such as coins, statues, public buildings, and inscriptions, allows us to get as close as we possibly can to seeing Augustan Rome with Roman eyes. In the process, working with material culture, rather than more traditional written sources, enables us to experience history as both an art and a science. For this assignment, please select one of the following roles: Augustus Augustus’ wife, Livia A Roman Senator A poor Roman male citizen, who is a resident of the city of Rome A Roman citizen from a far-away province, who is visiting Rome for the first time A foreign diplomat who is not a Roman citizen, and is visiting Rome for the first time Using at least three of the different types of sources below (e.g., one coin, one statue, and one building), write at least one well-developed paragraph, describing your impressions of Augustan Rome through the eyes of your chosen role. What do you see as having been achieved through Israel’s construction of a security fence or wall between Israel and the West Bank? What are the advantages and disadvantages of the security fence? Western influence & media in the Arab-Israel conflict It’s long been argued that western support for Israel and the media’s coverage of the conflict has served to affect and shape events in the conflict. For example, it’s been stated by American foreign policy makers that support for Israel will usually be determined by US public support towards sympathy and attitudes towards Jews (“Still Special? The U.S.-Israel Relationship, 1998). In recent years, Palestinians have challenged the West by stating that the media coverage is affecting such perceptions and have been fighting back to promote their side of the story via their own PR campaigns and media slants. Using examples, discuss: What do you think of this importance of the role of the West in this conflict and why does the media play such a heavy role? How does the media affect public support for the Israeli’s or the Palestinians & to what degree? Are media depictions accurate? How can we inform ourselves to insure we have accurate information?

Question 32. How did women react to the language of freedom and liberty being used to support the American Revolution

Topic : How did women react to the language of freedom and liberty being used to support the American Revolution? Be sure to include in your response Abigail Adams’s opinions that appear in the Voices of Freedom. Discussion 1 Around the American Revolution women did not have much opportunity. While they had more opportunity than women in Europe did they also needed more education. There was a struggle that women endured for their freedom and liberty. Abigail Adam was an evolutionary woman when it came to opportunity for women. She taught herself to read since education for girls was very limited. She couldn’t understand how people could have a passion for liberty yet deprive fellow citizens of theirs. She felt as though women needed full freedom although her freedom was much different than modern freedom. She believed a woman’s primary responsibility was to her family but she also believed a husband should not have absolute power over his wife. I wonder how prosperous women would be today if they had the same opportunities men had during that era? Discussion 2 Mrs. Abigail Adam was a very influential and bold woman during the revolutionary time. She taught herself to read during the time where education was limited for women. Her husband John Adams was president during this time which it stated that he relied on her opinion and advice very much during his time in office. At this time of freedom being denied to many including women, Mrs. Adams was an advocate for women’s rights. Adam’s wanted equal rights, she stated how could the passion for Liberty be so strong and equal when those that received liberty could deprive others of their liberty. Not all people supported the freedom of slaves, servants, religious groups and women. The struggle remained but with Adams she felt it was a time where women and other Americans that were denied freedom, a time to enjoy the same freedom as others. A time to rest and a time to reap the goodness of what the world is offering. Adam wants her husband to remember the women during this time, to be generous and favorable to them. For education to be offered, employment opportunities, to be given the opportunity of education before marriage, equal share in liberty, ability to dance and so much more. For the women to have a stand when it came to their husbands. For the husbands to not have complete control of their wives. Deborah Sampson displayed courage and bravery as she dressed as a man and enlisted and battled as a man in the Continental army and was later awarded the soldiers pensions. Question 51. Historical eassy

As depression struck the new nation in the mid-1780s, new questions arose about the nature of American democracy. Many conservatives believed that the answer lay in a stronger national government. Most radicals believed it was up to the states to relieve the financial burden of the people. These sentiments fostered a movement for a new constitution. Political differences soon stimulated the creation of political parties. Compare and contrast the Articles of Confederation with the new Constitution of 1787. What were the strengths and weaknesses of the Articles vis-à-vis the Constitution? Give specific instances that demonstrate the weakness of the Articles (such as the Western problem). Then analyze the drafting of the Constitution, using specific details to show how the various states (slave vs. free, east vs. west) compromised in order to effectively draft a constitution. Pay particular attention to Roger Sherman’s plan, the Great Compromise, which broke a stalemate that could have been fatal to the development of the new Constitution. Finally, compare and contrast the debate over ratification between the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists. Make sure you cite specific examples from the Federalist Papers to support the Federalist position and contrast it with leading proponents of the opposition (such as John Hancock). Analyze how the debate over a bill of rights illustrates the differences between the two parties. I am not looking for a litany of disjointed statements that simply list changes your chosen group experienced but rather a narrative that traces the evolution of your group over time. Be sure to discuss the technologies or advances in knowledge that most impacted them and perhaps how those same changes acted differently on other groups. Your paper must be formatted in Chicago Turabian format, include a cover page and bibliography, and use footnotes.

Question 71. Shay’s Rebellion

U.S. History to 1870 In 1787, a former Continental Army officer named Daniel Shays led an armed rebellion in Massachusetts against the newly formed American republic. Men from several western counties, many of them Revolutionary war veterans from leading families, violently opposed the high taxes levied by the legislature to pay war debts. It was an ironic turn of events. In the 1760s, the British – looking for ways to pay their debt for the Seven Years War – decided to tax the colonists to increase British revenue. As we know, this led to the American Revolution. In the 1780s, the colonists were now in control of their own government, and – looking for ways to pay their debt from the American revolution and the new republic – settled on taxing the colonists. Colonists in western counties argued that they weren’t represented in the eastern-dominated legislature, and they rebelled. Shays rebellion would end relatively quickly, but what is interesting is that they viewed the new American government in the same light as the old British one. They called it “tyrannical,” and claimed “whenever any encroachments are made either upon the liberties or properties of the people, if redress cannot be had without, it is virtue in them to disturb government.” In this blog post, address this history in at least 2 paragraphs in your response to the following prompt: Was the Revolution truly a revolution, or simply a shift of power from one ruling class to another? Address Shay’s Rebellion and relevant evidence. Articulate a specific position (perspective, thesis/hypothesis) imaginatively, taking into account the complexities of an issue. Fully integrate alternate, divergent, or contradictory perspectives or ideas. Assignment DUE Saturday, May 5, 2018 @ 10:00 PM (Eastern Time).

Question 76 How the war began

One of the things we always discuss in my face-to-face classes with regards to the Spanish-American War is how the war began. The explosion of the battleship Maine was the catalyst for the US going to war in Spain and thus acquiring an empire. However, while Spain was blamed for the explosion of the ship, it was not actually at fault. My question to you all is whether it matters? Do the reasons for going for war actually matter or do the ends justify the means? Most people do not question nowadays how we have Puerto Rico, or Guam, or the leasing of Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, yet these changes were the result of the Spanish-American War. More men died of fever and disease than the actual war itself, and the US then found itself in a guerilla-style insurrection war in the Philippines. Again, do the ends justify the means? Or if the reasons for war are obfuscated, is the war in and of itself unjustified? I realize this is a complicated question. I am asking you to answer the very best you can. Remember, if you are looking to do well you want to demonstrate you have read and understood the text. (Davidson, pages 431-438)

Question 77 Attack Ads of the Antebellum Era

Please ensure to read directions and complete assignment on time and correctly. Due Monday, May 14, 2018 @ 9:00 AM (Eastern Time). The assignment is a Blog Post no longer than one page. One of the main focuses of this week’s readings was the development of political parties and political life and discourse of the Early Republic and Antebellum era, which is roughly the period from 1789 to 1860. Reason.tv has made “modern” attack ads by using direct quotes from John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. In public comments, political rivals frequently attacked not only their opponents credibility and policies, but their racial heritage, their manliness, their religious principles, and even their wives and families. After watching the link “Attack Ads in the Antebellum Era, In their Own Words” address the following prompt: What is the primary political legacy of the Early Republic and Antebellum era on contemporary American life? And in what ways are American political campaigns today different from that era, and in what ways are they similar? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_zTN4BXvYI

Question 78 Civil Rights: Then and Now

In the 1960s, the civil rights movement was at its height. Congress passed the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act in 1964 and 1965, which first outlawed segregation in public places and dismantled laws that previously had prevented people from voting based on their race. Basically, these two laws finally buffered the 14th and 15th amendments, both of which were passed during Reconstruction. This information is covered in Chapter 29 in further detail. The United States was not the only place experiencing a civil rights movement. South Africa, Northern Ireland, India, etc. are just a few places going through the same thing. During graduate school, I lived in Northern Ireland for a semester. It is a province of the United Kingdom that for many years sustained a long-term conflict between the majority Protestant population and the minority Catholic populace. Catholics often complained that they were discriminated against in jobs, education, housing, and unfairly targeted by police. Does that sound familiar to Americans? It should. Stick with me here, because I have a point, but I need to explain a few things to get there. This conflict between Catholics and Protestants went on for years. Conflict is a nice word for war, because that is essentially what it was. For the better part of 30 years, 3,000 people were killed (in a place that is the size a few Chicago suburbs put together, so it’s a significant number) and generations were affected by violence. In the 1990s, though, most of the groups on both sides (not all) sought peace and a comprehensive peace agreement was agreed upon by a huge landslide vote. Part of the peace agreement addressed a long-standing grievance about Catholics not trusting the police force that was overwhelmingly (95%) Protestant. Catholics simply did not join. In the years that followed the agreement, the police force, which had been highly militarized during the conflict (understandably so) began to appear less militarized and more like a community type of police, and heavily recruited Catholics and other minorities to join the force. Since then the force is much more reflective of the populace. It must be noted that not everyone sits around and sings kumbaya now.  However, sometimes you have to fake it till you make it, and real progress has been made. (My master’s thesis was on this conflict so I am writing simply from memory and knowledge of events.) So here is the bridge: Clearly in this country we are experiencing a similar gulf between minority citizens and police. Depending on the color of your skin, the neighborhood you live in, your socio-economic status, our perception of law enforcement seems to vary based on our differed experiences. While our police forces tend to be more diverse than that of Northern Ireland, they are still not always reflective of the neighborhoods they patrol. (Please note I am not necessarily arguing that they must be; I am simply stating what exists.) In this discussion board, therefore, I would like you to engage in an exchange of dialogue about race, policing and community relations. What are the demographics of your local town/neighborhood? (I am not asking you to look at the census, but just simply comment on what you see.) Would you describe your community as diverse, and along with that, I suppose you need to describe what you perceive as diversity. What is the socio-economic status (if you feel comfortable talking about it) of your community? Furthermore, discuss your perception of police in your neighborhood and in general. How would you characterize your interactions with police in your local community? How much do you think those interactions have affected how you view the issues of law enforcement and community relations in a wider context? President Obama, on his way out of office, opined that we are not as divided as we appear. Do you agree with this statement? Or has the progress since the 1960s been more superficial in nature and we remain deeply segregated and racially divided? I would like for us to engage in dialogue on this topic in a way that allows us to share our viewpoints, whatever they may be. This is controversial in nature, but these are the very topics deserving discussion, and if we cannot do it in an academic setting, then where and when can we? I am very much looking forward to reading your responses.

Question 80 Westward Expansion

“American Progress,” John Gast, 1872 During the 19th century, “Manifest Destiny” referred to the widely held belief that Americans were fated to expand beyond the Eastern seaboard and “civilize” the entire North American continent. Do you believe that westward expansion was inevitable due to the young nation’s economic growth and population size, or do you think the concept of manifest destiny was simply a way of masking economic and political motives for expansion and simply a large scale territory grab across North America? Explain the reasons for your interpretation in your post. This is part of a discussion. The assignment is due tomorrow, May 17, 2018, @ 8:00 PM (Eastern Time).

Question 81 U.S. History 1870

Research Essay Assignment DUE Sunday, May 27, 2018. @ 11:00AM (Eastern Time). Your final paper should be 4 pages in length. Your paper should be double-spaced with standard 12 point font and one-inch margins. Your paper should include a title page as well as a bibliography; neither the title page nor the bibliography should be counted towards fulfilling the length requirement. Your paper should include in-text citations in either the MLA or APA format. An excellent guide to citations is available through the Purdue Online Writing Lab. You may choose any topic related to American history in the period from the seventeenth century through Reconstruction. It is very important for you to choose a topic that is contentious or open to debate. For the assignment, you will be asked to consider multiple viewpoints. Your essay should include a thesis statement and evidence to support your thesis statement. A thesis statement is an assertion that you are seeking to prove. A thesis statement must be open to debate and not a simple statement of fact. You are required to use source material to defend your argument or thesis. I would like you to find a minimum of 5 sources related to your topic. These sources should include both primary sources and secondary sources. A primary source is a document written by someone who actually participated in the historic event being discussed. A secondary source is a document written by a scholar or historian with no direct experience of the event discussed. Your sources may be books, articles, or online materials. Also, I ask that you use one source related to your topic from a discipline outside of history. For example, you could use an article from a political science journal, a sociology journal, an economics journal, etc. Many scholars outside of the field of history have valuable insight to offer on historical events. JSTOR, a collection of journal articles available online through Hatch Library, is a very valuable tool for locating sources from a variety of disciplines. For this assignment, it is crucial that you evaluate sources that offer multiple and varied perspectives on your topic. In order to develop a full and well-rounded understanding of any topic, it is crucial to examine varied perspectives. For example, if you were to argue that the Constitution represented a positive and progressive revision of the United States government, it is important to include some evaluation of the opposing viewpoint. You would need to include an analysis of the arguments that were made against the ratification of the Constitution. Your essay should be well written and free of grammatical and spelling errors. Please proofread your essay before submitting it. Evaluate and apply diverse perspectives to complex subjects within the humanities in the face of multiple and even conflicting positions (i.e. cultural, disciplinary, and ethical). Evaluate and synthesize information from multiple sources and draw conclusions by combining examples, facts, or theories from more than one field of study or perspective. Articulate a specific position (perspective, thesis/hypothesis) imaginatively, taking into account the complexities of an issue. Limits are acknowledged. Others’ points of view are synthesized. Fully integrate alternate, divergent, or contradictory perspectives or ideas.

Question82. Comparive Essay

Students, please view the “Submit a Clickable Rubric Assignment” in the Student Center. Instructors, training on how to grade is within the Instructor Center. Assignment 2: Project Paper – Comparative Essay Due Week 7 and worth 200 points This “Assignment 2” writing assignment is a comparative essay focused on topics encountered in our HUM 111 class. The project will be based on research but will reflect your views and interpretation of the topic. This project is designed to help you stretch your mind and your abilities as an organized, innovative, and critical thinker. If approached properly, it should also be fun! Choose one (1) of the topics from the list of topic choices below. Read the topic carefully. Write a three to four (3-4) page paper (750-1,000 words) that follows instructions and covers each part of the topic. (The title page and References list do not get included in this word count). Note: Your instructor may require you to submit your topic choice for approval before the end of Week 5. For the topic you choose: Establish a clear thesis about your topic as part of the introductory paragraph (often the thesis is the last thing one determines after doing the basic research and outline; however it will be placed in the first paragraph of your paper). This is a comparative essay. Comparison approached properly will require some critical thinking on your part. Use a point-by-point approach for the essay. That means, if comparing subject A with subject B, don’t do the first half of the essay on subject A and then the second half on subject B–that will seem like two (2) separate essays and comparisons will tend to get lost. Instead, you should be mentioning both subjects in most of your paragraphs as you compare them throughout the essay. Comparisons will identify similarities as well as contrasts. Do not try to do everything on your two (2) subjects. You should end up narrowing your focus to a few insights and issues about the subjects being compared. And, from those fairly specific points of comparison, you will develop a thesis and glean some lessons. Follow closely the instructions below for your specific topic. Include a concluding paragraph at the end. This paragraph will, in some way, refer back to the thesis established in your first paragraph, since now you have demonstrated and supported it. It may be here that you also include your observations relating your study to the modern workplace or society (see your topic). Try to finish with flair! Use at least three (3) good quality academic sources, with one (1) source being the class text. Note: Wikipedia and other similar Websites do not qualify as academic resources. You are highly encouraged to use the Resource Center tab at the top of your Blackboard page. Topic Choices – Choose just one (1) of the topics below: Qualities of the Hero: Comparing Gilgamesh and Odysseus. Write an essay comparing these two (2) heroic figures from ancient epics of different cultures, especially focusing your analysis on the sources about their encounters with monsters: Gilgamesh encounters the monster guarding the forest, Humbaba, in Tablets 3-5 of the Epic of Gilgamesh (see http://www.ancienttexts.org/library/mesopotamian/gilgamesh/; scroll down to the Tablet links; think of “Tablet” numbers like chapter numbers).” Odysseus encounters Polyphemus the Cyclops in Book 9 of The Odyssey (see http://www.theoi.com/Text/HomerOdyssey9.html; from line 105 to the end). Your paper should: a) Compare Gilgamesh and Odysseus as to their heroic qualities, noting similarities and differences, using specific examples from the epics. b) Summarize what this indicates about differences between ancient Mesopotamian and Greek cultures in their ideals and expectations. c) From this comparison, suggest ways that current cultural ideals and expectations shape modern notions about role models and heroes. Confucius and Aristotle on Virtue. Write an essay comparing these two (2) ancient thinkers on the concept of virtue or good ethical character and conduct. Stay focused on the issue; keep any biographical or other information short or limited. As much as possible, analyze their writings (in translation, of course), using Confucius’ Analects (at http://classics.mit.edu/Confucius/analects.html ) and Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics (at http://classics.mit.edu/Aristotle/nicomachaen.html ). Your paper should: a) Compare the teachings of Confucius and Aristotle on what constitutes virtue or good ethical character and conduct, noting similarities and differences in specific ideas or emphasis. b) Consider what your findings suggest about differences between ancient Chinese and ancient Greek culture. c) From this comparison, suggest ideas of virtue that can apply to ethics in a modern setting, such as a diverse workplace. Comparing Sculptures of Ancient India and Greece. Write an essay comparing the way gods and humans were depicted in sculpture in ancient India and Greece, and identify the cultural values and ideals that these art works reflect in each case. Your paper should: a) Using specific examples, compare the way gods and people were depicted in the sculptures of ancient India and Greece, noting similarities and differences. b) Identify the cultural values and ideals that these art works reflect for each society. c) From this comparison, suggest a modern situation of artistic expression and the ways it reflects or counters prevailing cultural values. Comparing Ancient Skeptics. Write an essay comparing Lucretius and Wang Chong (=Wang Ch’ung), skeptical philosophers of ancient Rome and China. They were skeptical about popular religious and spiritual beliefs and widely-held superstitions. Lucretius was an Epicurean philosopher of Roman culture (Chapter 6). Wang Ch’ung was a thinker in ancient Chinese culture (Chapter 7). For Lucretius, focus on Book 5 of his On the Nature of Things as found at http://johnstoniatexts.x10host.com/lucretius/lucretius5html.html (good helpful commentary at the end of this web page). For Wang Ch’ung (=Wang Chong), focus on the segments of his On Spirits as found at https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Gems_of_Chinese_Literature/Wang_Ch‘ung-On_Spirits . a) Using examples from their writings, compare these two (2) thinkers on their views about specific subjects and on their approach in explaining and expressing their skepticism. b) From this comparison, identify popular beliefs in each culture that seem similar and those that seem different. c) From this comparison, suggest any modern situation in which materialist skeptics confront spiritual and religious beliefs, and comment on the considerations of free expression and cultural respect. Comparing Ancient Male Rulers. Take any two (2) of these rulers and write an essay comparing them: Ramses II, Shihuangdi, Constantine, Ashoka, Pericles, or Charlemagne. Select rulers from different cultures. You may also propose (for approval or not) a ruler not listed. Avoid lengthy quoting or lengthy close paraphrasing from biographical sources. Make it YOUR comparative analysis. Your paper should: a) Compare the two (2) rulers in terms of their situation and methods of rule and their apparent ideals and practices, noting similarities and differences. Use specific examples. b) Consider what your study suggests about the cultures over which they ruled, identifying any similarities and differences between the cultures. c) From this comparison, suggest lessons about different types of effective leadership in the world of modern business and / or modern politics. Comparing Ancient Female Rulers. Compare the Tang Empress Wu Zetian (also known as Empress Wu or as Wu Zhao; ruled China around 690-705 AD) with either the Pharaoh Cleopatra (ruled Egypt around 51-31 BC) or the Pharaoh Hatshepsut (ruled Egypt around 1478-1458 BC). You may also propose (for approval or not) a female ruler not listed. Avoid lengthy quoting or lengthy close paraphrasing from biographical sources. Make it YOUR comparative analysis. Your paper should: a) Compare the two (2) rulers in terms of their situation and ascent to power, their methods of rule, and their achievements and resourcefulness, noting similarities and differences. Use specific examples. b) Consider what your study suggests about the cultures over which they ruled, identifying any similarities and differences between the cultures. c) From this comparison, suggest lessons about different types of effective leadership by a female in the world of modern business and / or modern politics. Other topic choice using a comparative approach (proposed by student or instructor) and approved by the professor and supported by the grading rubric. The Project Paper will be graded on: The level to which the instructions were followed for the paper generally and for the specific topic. The establishment of a clear thesis about your topic. The adequacy and relevance of information, examples, and details which support the general thesis. Covering each part of the topic as instructed, including the comparisons, the consideration of ancient cultural differences, and the reflection on lessons for modern society or the modern workplace. Question 84 The American victory in the Revolutionary War

The American victory in the Revolutionary War created a new nation whose founding fathers hoped would be a model of republican democracy unmatched in the history of the world. The men tasked with developing the government system and governing documents for this new nation recognized the incredible potential for positive growth, with a flourishing economy, overseen by a well-educated and well-intentioned citizenry. However, most of the founders believed that in order to be successful, such a country must be governed by men of high character with certain civic virtues who would put the good of the nation above their own individual desires or interests. For this discussion board, please first read the excerpts and quotes provided in the document “Discussion Board 2 Primary Documents.” These documents were written by some of our nation’s founding fathers and great thinkers before, during, and after the revolutionary period. Question 85 A Modern Day Sir Thomas More

the assignment is to pretend you are a modern Sir Thomas More in the United States of America. Just as Sir Thomas More highlighted problems with European societies in Book I of Utopia, you are to discuss current problems with American society today. He also closely analyzed the corruption of advisors to the king. These were all significant problems in sixteenth century England. What are the significant problems in twenty-first century America? Just as More used fiction to convey his ideas, you will be writing a short fiction script to depict the significant issues of society in the twenty-first century. ISTE NETS for Students (NETS-S) standards that the software will enable your students to achieve. ISTE NETS for Teachers (NETS-T) standards that you will achieve by using the software for productivity or student learning. Use this Sample Template for Proposal Letter Sample Template for Proposal Letter – Alternative Formats Excel Spreadsheet You will create an Excel spreadsheet budget that lists your chosen software or application (for IOS, Droid or other system), the vendor, the category of software (see items 1-3 above) and the prices. If the software will be used on more than one computer in your classroom, the price should include one copy of the software and then site licenses for the other computers that will use it. Note that many software companies provide educational pricing. List software by the main three categories and then by sub-category, so the type of software is evident. Subtotal the category sections. Demonstrate the use of the SUM function to total rows or columns and section subtotals, and use the Multiply (product) function to multiply more than one of the same item (such as site licenses). Insert lines in your spreadsheet (the gray gridlines will not print lines when the spreadsheet is printed out, so you have to add the lines). Excel Spreadsheet Sample Click for more options Excel Spreadsheet Sample – Alternative Formats IMPORTANT NOTE! You must submit your Word document (proposal) AND your Excel spreadsheet files in ONE attempt. They cannot be submitted in separate attempts. Submit the original Excel spreadsheet file–do not PDF it or copy it into a Word document. Note: Any graphics used in the newsletter must be cited with an APA Figure caption underneath the image and listed in a Reference list. Newsletters are meant to be formatted using columns and featured articles. To ensure you are formatting the newsletter correctly, you may want to use a template below. To access Microsoft Word’s template files, see the following tutorials. Remember that you must use a NEWSLETTER template of your choice. Where do I find Templates (2013, 2016)? Some Graphic Design Principles Do not put title, subtitles or text in ALL CAPITAL letters. All caps are harder for the eye to read. Do not put any text, titles or subtitles in italics font. Italics are harder for the eye to read. Save italics for items that require them, such as book titles. Do not center sentences, paragraphs or bulleted items. Centered text is harder for the eye to read. Centering titles and subtitles is fine. If you place text in a colored background, make sure that it is visible. For example, black font in a dark blue background cannot be seen well. Make the font a lighter color in those areas. Use short paragraphs and bulleted lists. People will not wade through large chunks of text. Do not underline titles or subtitles. Put them in bold-face for APA style. DO NOT use the following text-background color combinations because they create optical problems for the eyes, so they are very hard to read. red text over blue background red text over green background green text over blue background green text over red background blue text over red background blue text over green background

How to Create An Infographic Exploiting Infographics for Digital Literacy and Critical Thinking by Nik Peachey After you have read the article, you will be preparing to create your own Infographic. Part of the challenge (the fun) of deciding what to design is deciding what to design. Is there a procedure that you need to explain again and again that a visual diagram could help solve? (IMPORTANT NOTE: Although the article mentions that a wordle is an infographic, DO NOT do a wordle for this assignment.) As you plan out your design, ask and answer questions like: Which information, facts, and data are essential to include? Which aren’t? What colors and layout works best in sharing the information? What graphs and graphics best convey information and data to the viewer? What is the order, or flow, of information? You may want to take a moment to look back at samples and discuss how various Infographics are structured. Since the point of an infographic is to transfer knowledge and information quickly, the final poster (Infographic) should be informative, simple, engaging, and design-friendly. Question 146 Conflict in the Early Republic: Thomas Jefferson vs. Alexander Hamilton

Conflict in the Early Republic: Thomas Jefferson vs. Alexander Hamilton ** DUE DATE 2/3/19 10:00 pm Introduction: All was not well in terms of d/omestic policy in the years after the ratification of the Constitution in 1789. There were several fault lines that ran through the early republic, thus the period from 1789-1800 is referred to by historians as the “Critical Period” in American history. Would George Washington become a military dictator as Napoleon would in the late 1790s? Would a national bank be allowed? Was the Constitution meant to be interpreted as a strict document or as a document that allowed for anything “necessary and proper” for the operation of the government? What was the proper balance between federal and state power? Is free speech a core part of American democracy? Were political parties an essential part of the American political order? These questions and many others were debated during the critical period, with founding fathers Thomas Jefferson (Republican) and Alexander Hamilton (Federalist) often on differing sides of each. This week I would like to concentrate on foreign policy during the Critical Period. Today we debate what our relationship should be with the Russian Federation. Do we see them as a friend of stability in the region or a serious threat to the current political order? How should we deal with them? In 2017, we look at this relationship from a position of power and relative international strength. We have choice in our relationship with Russia. In the critical period, America was a relatively weak country; we had little to no choice in foreign affairs. We were thrown around between Britain and France like a political football. In the early republic we questioned the nature of our relationship with France. The French had sided with the colonies during the American Revolution, providing naval power, infantry, arms, and cash to aid the American fight for independence, not necessarily because they believed in liberty, but because they hated the British as their chief economic and military rival. Our relationship with the French and their king, Louis XVI, was strong until the French Revolution erupted in 1789. As France was plunged into an era of extreme bloodshed, American leaders questioned whether revolutionary terror and violence would emanate from France and spread throughout the new American states. What would be the nature of our relationship with the French? Jefferson and Hamilton fell on opposite sides of this French question during a time when the British and French, the two dominant world powers, were perpetually at war. Hamilton saw the British, our former enemy, as the harbinger of a new industrial future and he sought to build America in Britain’s image. He felt that a relationship with the French would be at best feebleminded and at worst irresponsible and dangerous. Thomas Jefferson disagreed; he was a Francophile who had once been minister to France. Jefferson supported a close relationship with the French based on their friendship during the conflict with the British and the idea that they were our revolutionary brothers in arms. This became the main political issue in the election of 1796 between Republican Thomas Jefferson and Federalist John Adams. Eventually the French instituted a “quasi-war” against American shipping that carried British goods. The French felt that our allegiance was to the British because of our trade relationships. Washington declared neutrality, but it was to no avail. Rumblings of war with France dominated political discussion in the late 1790s, and John Adams pushed to limit immigration and free speech during this time period. ********Question for Discussion: Given our revolutionary ties with the French, should we have honored our former alliance and sided with them in their conflicts with the British? With whom would you have sided, Hamilton or Jefferson? This transformation and some of the apparent abuses that developed (monopolistic practices, work conditions, low wages, arbitrary and oppressive expectations) led to an increased role of the government in regulating businesses and society. This role was heightened as government was viewed as the arbiter between business and organized labor. One can explore these developments from 1865 on through to World War II. Examine the statement below and drawing from provided sources, present a paper with specific examples and arguments to demonstrate the validity of your position. Statement—in which you can take a pro or con position: From the start of Progressive era of the late 1800s through the New Deal period in the 1930s, increasing government interventions and regulations of business tended to help the overall economy and the common workers. (Or you can argue that such interventions and regulations hurt the overall economy and the common workers.) Use specific examples from different decades—and be sure one of your examples is from the 1930s. After giving general consideration to your readings so far and any general research, select one of the positions above as your position—your thesis. (Sometimes after doing more thorough research, you might choose the reverse position. This happens with critical thinking and inquiry. Your final paper might end up taking a different position than you originally envisioned.) Organize your paper as follows, handling these issues: The position you choose or something close to it—will be the thesis statement in your opening paragraph. To support your position, use four (4) specific examples from different decades between 1865 and 1940. However, one (1) of your four (4) examples must be from the 1930s. Explain why the opposing view is weak in comparison to yours. Consider your life today: In what way does the history you have shown shape or impact issues in your workplace or desired profession? Length: The paper should be 500-to-750 words in length. Research and References: You must use a MINIMUM of three sources; the Schultz textbook must be one of them. Your other two sources should be drawn from the list provided below. This is guided research, not open-ended Googling. Source list for Assignment 2: Some sources are “primary” sources from the time period being studied. Some sources below can be accessed via direct link or through the primary sources links on Blackboard. Each week has a different list of primary sources. QUESTION1,
Answer to Question #56576 – Math – Other
A company is involved in the production of two items (X and Y). The resources need to produce X and Y are twofold, namely machine time for automatic processing and craftsman time for hand finishing. The table below gives the number of minutes required for each item:
Machine time Craftsman time
Item X 13 20
Item Y 19 29
The company has 40 hours of machine time available in the next working week but only 35 hours of craftsman time. Machine time is costed at £10 per hour worked and craftsman time is costed at £2 per hour worked. Both machine and craftsman idle times incur no costs. The revenue received for each item produced (all production is sold) is £20 for X and £30 for Y. The company has a specific contract to produce 10 items of X per week for a particular customer. Formulate the problem of deciding how much to produce per week as a linear program hence make the decision.
Solution
Let ?? be the number of items of ??, ?? be the number of items of ??.
Then the LP is
maximize
20?? + 30?? – 10(??????h?????? ???????? ????????????) – 2(?????????????????? ???????? ????????????)
subject to:
13?? + 19?? = 40(60) ??????h?????? ????????
20?? + 29?? = 35(60) ?????????????????? ????????
?? = 10 ????????????????
??, ?? = 0
so that the objective function becomes
maximize
20?? + 30?? – 10(13?? + 19??) – 2(20?? + 29??)
60 60
i.e. maximize
17.1667?? + 25.8667??
subject to:
13?? + 19?? = 2400
20?? + 29?? = 2100
?? = 10
??, ?? = 0
It is plain from the diagram below that the maximum occurs at the intersection of ?? = 10 and
20?? + 29?? = 2100.
Solving simultaneously, rather than by reading values off the graph, we have that ?? = 10 and ?? = 65.52
with the value of the objective function being £1866.5.

Things to look out for in these platforms

·         Reviews– You may consider looking at the reviews given by other people who have used or visited that particular platform. Reviews serve as a guide for new customers. Analyzing these reviews will help you understand the overall level of customer satisfaction. Generally, customers will provide a review based on their individual experiences.

So a platform with many negative reviews might not be ideal for you. Instead, look for a platform with positive reviews. But again, some of these research paper writing services may pay their friends and colleagues to write a positive review. Be keen to evaluate the reviews critically by looking at the date and depth of emotions conveyed through the reviews. The dates will signal you if the review is original or made up.

·         Refund policy– Be keen to look for an online platform with a refund policy. For instance, some platforms have a refund policy for various circumstances such as; when work has not been delivered on time or was not written as per the terms and conditions placed by the customer while placing the order. Remember that you are paying for these services and so if they happen to deliver a paper that fails to follow instructions, you have the right to request a refund. Genuine and credible platforms have a return policy. You may even inquire from customer support if the platform has a return policy.

·         Plagiarism-free features– You may also look at the description page of the platform to see if they offer plagiarism-free solutions. In college, it is a grave mistake to copy and paste somebody else’s work or directly copy from an internet source. You might even get expelled from the institution for doing so. Virtually all research paper writing services usually offer plagiarism-free solutions because they know the gravity of the offense. You can engage the support in the various platforms you come across to know how they avoid plagiarizing their papers.

·         Affordability– Generally, students do not have a lot of money to spend and often they have to stick to a tight budget. It is understandable because a majority of them do not work or rely on government support for education. You might consider looking for a provider of research paper writing services that fall within your budget. You do not have to break your bank trying to source a provider. You may consider taking a tour on the internet and go asking for a quotation from several research paper writing services. After doing this, choose the cost-effective one.

Some of the reputable research paper writing service providers

·         HomeworkNest.Com This platform has a pool of qualified tutors some of whom are qualified professors from across the globe. This platform has a team of over 2000 devoted educational consultants who handle more than 25 different types of paperwork. These are people who care about your student life and who are willing to make your grades stand out. In this platform, you will be carefully paired with a consultant based on your preferred working style and location.

You are also given autonomy to choose your preferred consultant after passing through three-step verification. It offers quality solutions within the shortest time possible. You can order your college paper and have it delivered 2 hours after placing your order. It also has positive reviews and a 100% return back policy for any type of order which fails to meet the customer’s preference. The only downside of this research paper writing service is the pricing. Due to the individualized experience, they offer students, their prices are a bit high than other providers in the market. Nevertheless, they are the best in the market.

·         Grade MinersThis platform has been in the market for quite some time now. It is one of the oldest platforms which offer academic writing services. One of the advantages of this platform is the easiness of placing an order. If you are a new customer, you will not encounter challenges placing your first order. Also, it has a 1000% money-back policy on any order.

Then the type of work they deliver is high-quality. Their support services are also 24/7. In addition, the customer is given the autonomy to contact the writer directly. So in case, the client wants to add something or clarify something, they can always contact the writer. However, the platform does not offer a wide range of services. Also, some customers have recently complained of its randomly adjusted prices which are a bit high. But all in all, it is an excellent platform that offers research paper writing services.

·       JustDoMyEssayAnother research paper writing service that has been on the market for a while is JustDoMyEssay. It is one of the initial companies to offer academic writing services. They deliver the order quickly and offer high-quality solutions. Also, customers can negotiate with the platform on paper prices. But the downside with this platform is that it lacks experts with proficiency in native languages.

You may not get an ESL writer if you have a task that requires you to use your native language. Also, their support services are not available on Sundays. This means that if you have a complaint or additional note you want to include in your paper, you may struggle to reach the support team. Such hurdles can be frustrating to students especially if they have an urgent paper that is due.

Virtually every student who passed through high school will agree with me that algebra was one of the challenging topics, especially algebra 2. Recall concepts such as; quadratic functions, linear equations and functions, logarithms, and polynomial division? Well, you will agree with me that these topics were not a walk in the park. In my school days, I did not love mathematics. I remember my elder sister had to come to my aid whenever we had mathematics homework. But as I proceeded to my senior school, I had to love mathematics. Today, am an educator who loves mathematics. See, you are not alone. Inarguably, many students have a hard time understanding mathematics and they often require support beyond what is available in the classroom.  And this mainly applies to algebra 2 because it is very broad. This is where online tutoring algebra 2 comes in. When it comes to online tutoring of algebra 2, students hire private math tutors who help them learn the concepts covered in algebra 2. These are tutors who offer beyond the classroom support. Not only are they qualified but also engaging and encouraging. In this article, I will give a brief introduction to algebra 2, provide tips for passing algebra 2 and give a list of some of the accredited online academic mathematics tutors.

Why is algebra 2 challenging?

Algebra 2 is an extension of Algebra 1. It builds on the concepts learned in Algebra 1 such as graphs, linear equations, inequalities, logarithmic expressions, probability, trigonometry, and quadratic equations. Now in algebra 2, there is more usage of algebraic expressions such as; ax+b=c instead of numbers. Also, it uses these variables to solve harder equations, especially word problems. So, if a student was struggling with Algebra 1, there is a great likelihood that he or she will struggle even more in Algebra 2.

In terms of difficulty, Algebra 2 is on another level. To ace in Algebra 2, students need to perfect Algebra 1 and other mathematics classes such as Geometry. So if you are struggling with Algebra 2, it means that there is something from Algebra 1 or past mathematic classes that you did not understand quite well. Or it might imply that there are some areas in Algebra 1 you are still weak in and ought to be reviewed before proceeding to Algebra 2. Falling behind even for a moment in previous mathematics classes can lead to recurring problems down the road. For instance, if a student had a hard time understanding fractions, order of operations, and linear equations, there is a great likelihood that they will have a hard time solving polynomial functions in Algebra 2. And that’s why online tutoring Algebra 2 is all about helping students identify these and other pitfalls so that they can pass.

The tutors focus on the gaps which need to be filled to provide the student with a strong foundation. This strong base is very critical because mathematics is incremental. It keeps building on the previous section. Besides, they work collaboratively with the students to ensure that they learn the various concepts that arise every week. In connection to this, these online tutors provide the students with key tests, quizzes, and other arithmetic assignments.  Moreover, online tutoring Algebra 2 tutors enable the students to gain confidence, self-respect, and some sense of accomplishment to improve on their grades. You will reckon that in mathematics confidence is very important. I remember during my school days, I had to confirm my answers from my desk mate to be sure that I was doing the right thing. In my case, I lacked confidence. But I later learned how to gain this confidence in my senior school.

Tips to pass Algebra 2

·      Study beyond class

Since Algebra 2 covers numerous mathematical concepts; students need to go beyond what they are taught in class to stand a better chance of excelling in it. If you are struggling with a certain concept, go ahead and look for materials covering the same concept from the internet and study guides. Also, ensure that you are in tandem with the assigned readings in your textbook. In some of these readings, there are diagrams and explanations which the lecturer or instructor might not necessarily cover in class. It is important to review some of this information since it might aid in understanding some of the problematic concepts. Also, look at the study guides and notes provided by your instructor in class and print them if possible. Besides, take time to review the quizzes and tests provided in class when they are handed back by the instructor. Look at the answers and yearn to know where you went wrong. Practice these problems regularly and others from a variety of topics. By doing this you will be ready for the questions if they show up in the final assessment.

·      Explore study options

You can also explore alternative study options. If you find it hard to tackle Algebra problems alone, consider using a group. Form a group with your fellow students preferably those close friends and work as a team. Ask them to explain to you some of the troubling concepts. Solve the problems together step by step and ask them to give you some takeaway tasks. You can also investigate if your school offers online tutoring algebra 2 and take advantage of it. These online tutors endorsed by the school can make passing Algebra 2 easier. In some schools, you can even ask your mathematics tutor to make some arrangements with you after class for further explanations. But these arrangements need to follow the school protocols and rules.

·      Adjust your attitude- There is an adage that goes ‘a bad attitude is like a flat tire. If you don’t change it, you’ll never go anywhere.’ The same case applies to Algebra 2. If you don’t adjust your attitude in it, it will forever remain problematic. You will never prosper in the subject without a positive attitude. And if you must do it, then you will have a lot of problems along the way if you don’t adjust your altitude. Mathematics generally requires the students to develop a positive character and attitude. And studies have shown that people devote a lot of their time and resources to doing the things they love. So if you begin to love Algebra 2, then you will be devoting a lot of your time and resources to it. Eventually, you will find that you are passing this topic.
